Citrus Fundraiser
Want to help pay for your high school student's Spring trip? Here is another opportunity for you to earn money and help out the community by providing them with delicious citrus fruit direct from Florida.
In mid-January the orchestra and band members will be given a packet of information for selling fresh picked Florida navel oranges and pink grapefruit. The sales period lasts for about one month and is due for the February 11- payment to LBBBB. The delivery is on Friday, February 25th. The fruit will be delivered to the school. All students who sell citrus need to help unload the truck on the listed delivery days. The more we sell, the higher the profit margin (the average last year was about $4 a box).
People love fresh, delicious citrus fruit so start thinking about who you can contact about ordering fruit. Neighbors, co-workers, teachers, friends, person who cuts your hair, etc. Many families who sell fruit find that the customers actually call them saying, "When are you selling the fruit?"
