Class of 1997: Ann Marie Simpson
It's always exciting to hear from our orchestra alumni and we never know what to expect. If you were watching this year's Grammy award show we all had the pleasure of watching one of our own perform on national television. Ann Marie (Simpson) Calhoun appeared and won the Grammy Moment competition. As a result of this event, she played that evening with the Foo Fighters conducted by John Paul Jones of Led Zepplin. She has also performed with groups and popular musicians such as Jethro Tull, Ringo Starr, and the Dave Matthews Band. She has had a very fun and exciting career in music since graduating from Lake Braddock. Congratulations, Ann Marie!!!
