Happy Summer,
I hope everyone takes time this summer to rejuvenate from a very busy, but productive year. It has been a joy to watch our students grow as musicians throughout the year. I look forward to their continued progess in the fall.
As we transition into next year, Ms. Prieto, our music administrator, and I would like to welcome Ms. Amy von Bernewitz-Wright as our new Orchestra Director. She will be joining us as a recent graduate from James Madison University. I am thrilled she will be joining the Lake Braddock Orchestra family and look forward to you all meeting and working with her in the fall.
Students who need something to practice over the summer are welcome to practice the Junior District music (7th-9th grade) or the Senior Regional music (9th-12th grade). Information is available at the main menu of this website. And as always, practice your scales.
Parents, I thank you for your continued support with the many fundraisers and events during the year. Please join us for the first booster meeting on Wednesday, October 6 at 7 p.m. in the Orchestra room.
I hope everyone has a great summer and takes the time to relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Thanks again for all you do to make our program a success and a joy to direct.
